Tips for learning: embrace your ignorance
Friday, October 28th, 2005“I alone am uncommitted like an infant who has not yet smiled…I alone seem as mindless as one who has no home to return to.”–Lao Tsu
“No home to return to” means there’s no set point to defend or cling to. Wherever you are is your home, if you can appreciate your “mindlessness”
Mindlessness is the state of mind that’s open to reality, exactly as it is in front of you, not what you want it to be.
Be at home anywhere. Returning home is unnecessary. You’re already there.
